Ten Strategies for Holiday Stress

The holidays can be both joyous and stressful for many people. Below are ten strategies for a successful and peaceful season. Consider starting with just one or two!

1.     Plan Ahead: Create a plan for the holiday including schedules and tasks. A plan can help reduce stress and ensure you cover all necessary aspects.

2.     Set Realistic Expectations: Manage your expectations and understand that not everything will be perfect. Family gatherings, decorations, and events may not go exactly as planned, and that's okay.

3.     Practice Self-Care: Take care of yourself physically and mentally. Get adequate sleep, eat well, exercise, and make time for activities that relax and rejuvenate you.

4.     Establish Boundaries: Set boundaries with family and friends to protect your mental health. It is appropriate to say no to events or tasks that may overwhelm you.
